This season, the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado has proven time and time again that despite a youthful roster, the team is still as powerful as it has been in recent years in the First Region and throughout the state. With a 10-3 upset over No. 16 Corbin on Saturday, the unranked Blue Tornado advanced to the semifinal round of the Kentucky 2A Championships, looking for the program's third title since 2021.

"We came into the game with the right energy. Our dugout was loud and always picked guys up who got a little bit down," senior Gunner Massey said. "My teammates have done a great job all year of getting us an early lead while I'm pitching. We tried to win every inning and capitalize on any opportunity with runners in scoring position. This was a huge win for our guys this season."
