A rainy Thursday night at Eagle Field served as senior night for the Graves County Eagles, as they hosted the second leg of a home-and-home against the Mayfield Cardinals. The two familiar foes had faced off the night prior, with the Eagles getting the decision in a dominant 13-0 win. In a heated affair that went back-and-forth across the early innings, the Eagles heated up in the middle frames to sweep the season series with a 9-2 victory.
Hayden Thompson got the start for the Eagles, throwing two innings of three-hit, two-run ball, striking out four along the way while going 1-for-3 with an RBI at the plate.
