Community members can leave notes, flowers and other tokens of remembrance in honor of Sgt. Ryan Hudson at his police cruiser. The Paducah Police Department placed the vehicle in the lot across from the department as a memorial following his death on Aug. 12.

An organization that works to support families and law enforcement agencies after line-of-duty deaths has stepped in after the death of Paducah Police Sgt. Ryan Hudson.

The organization Supporting Heroes responds to line-of-duty deaths with a representative and emergency funds for surviving spouses, partners, dependents and other family members during the aftermath. Representatives from the organization serve families and agencies in Kentucky, Indiana and Missouri.
