MURRAY — Murray State junior forward Sharnecce Currie-Jelks has been named to the midseason watch list for the 2026 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award, Her Hoop Stats announced Wednesday.
Currie-Jelks is one of 15 players nationally to earn a spot on the prestigious list, which recognizes the top performer in women’s mid-major college basketball. The Jackson, Tennessee, native has been a dominant force in her first season with the Racers, currently averaging 19.3 points and 12.4 rebounds per game. She leads the nation in double-doubles, ranks third in rebounds per game, and is 26th in points per game.
