Joshua Fowler-Sommer presents zoning ordinance changes related to qualified manufactured homes to the Paducah City Commission on June 23.
The Paducah City Commission introduced several ordinances updating local residential zoning laws to accommodate new state requirements allowing qualified manufactured homes at Tuesday’s meeting.
Kentucky Revised Statute 100.348 — which will take effect on July 1 — requires that local governments cannot impose architectural standards on qualified manufactured homes that are more restrictive than those applied to site-built homes in the same zoning district, though it allows for certain “compatibility standards.â€
