MASSAC COUNTY, Ill. — Residents of Massac County, Illinois, had the opportunity Thursday night to voice their concerns to members of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and officials of Honeywell.
The NRC assessed performance in safety operations, safeguards, radiological controls, facility support and other areas at the the Honeywell uranium conversion facility in Metropolis, Illinois, for a total of 300 hours through quarterly onsite inspections from Jan. 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2023.
