Turkey gobblers’ grow more talkative by the day with the onset of the breeding season.

To be somewhat alliterative, tom turkeys are talking.

Male wild turkeys are called gobblers because of a vocalization they make out of excitement and provocation. While it can be heard at any time of the year, their namesake gobbling is far more common as the big birds’ ardor rises with the approach and onset of the annual breeding season.
