It would take 11 full innings to decide things between Paducah Tilghman and Marshall County on ¶¶ÒõÖ±²¥Èí¼þ afternoon, as action began in the First Region baseball tournament at McCracken County. Despite coughing up a five-run deficit over the course of seven innings, it would be the Blue Tornado that would come out on top in extras, with an RBI triple for Brendan Mira lifting them to the 6-5 victory.

In the top half of the first, a shaky start on the mound for Marshall’s Thomas Bagby would open the door for Tilghman to pounce. Having loaded the bases with three straight no-out walks, singles from Brandon Dutton and Stone Crowe would drive in three runs between them. Two other runs would score on fielders choices over the inning, as Tilghman batted around their order on the way to an early 5-0 lead.
