In his Tilghman debut, Xavier Isable completed 11 of 18 pass attempts for 284 yards and five touchdowns, helping the Tornado to a 64-36 Rumble on the River victory over McCracken County.

Across a back-and-forth bout with no shortage of offense, the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado opened up their season with a win over their cross-town rivals in the McCracken County Mustangs, running away down the stretch for the 64-36 win and their eighth straight Rumble on the River victory.
“These guys overcame a lot of adversity tonight. They were in a tight game, but they responded well in the second half, and that’s what you have to do to be great,†said Paducah Tilghman head coach Sean Thompson. “Coming out into this atmosphere, it’s a different type of pressure, and the kids handled it really well.â€
