In the wake of their historic run to the College World Series earlier in the month, the Murray State Racers baseball team had the chance to make an impact closer to home this week, as they hosted their annual youth baseball camp at Reagan Field.

“It’s always a fun day, I think our job as a university is to be a big part of the community around us, and serve the community, so it was awesome to have all of these kids out here today,†camp director and assistant coach Anthony Ortega said. “It’s all about giving them a chance to be out here, and to enjoy baseball. Be out here on the field, with the players, letting them have fun, and teaching them some things, too.â€
