Former Marshall County golfer Jay Nimmo led his current team, the Murray State Racers to a fourth place finish in the MVC Golf Championship with a sixth place individual finish.
The Murray State men’s golf team held on to a fourth place finish at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship, better than the fifth place showing they had a year ago in their first run at The Valley title.
Playing the final round at The Club at Porto Cima in Sunrise Beach, Missouri, the Racers got a score of 3-under-par 69 from Jay Nimmo to finish out with a score line of 296-289-294=879. MSU beat out Drake (883) by four shots and finished 11 shots from third place Valparaiso (868).
