Halli Poock

Averaging 22.5 points per game, Halli Poock earned MVC Player of the Year and MVC Tournament MVP honors, helped lead the Racers to a 31-4 record and second straight NCAA Tournament berth.

Last Friday night, the most successful season in Murray State women’s basketball history drew to a close in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, as the Racers came up short in their NCAA Tournament First Round matchup against the Maryland Terrapins.

“I can’t say enough about our team, they’re warriors. From day one throughout this season, playing through injuries, playing through the grind of what it takes to be successful…I’m just thankful and blessed,†said Murray State head coach Rechelle Turner, reflecting on the season following the loss to the Terrapins. “This is special group of young women in that locker room. They represent the name on the front of their jersey exceptionally on and off the court. They’re amazing student-athletes. I’m just proud of where this program is and where this program can go.â€
