The first weekend of the traditional turkey season, opening today, typically brings the biggest gobbler harvest of the spring.

Kentucky’s spring gobbler season is on.

One of the highlights of the hunting year, the state’s spring wild turkey season opens today and runs for 23 days, April 13-May 5. As has been the schedule for several years, the continuous season stretches through four weekends for maximum opportunities for folks who are unable slip away on weekdays.
