Deer hunters can expect more opportunities and obligation to have harvested deer sampled for chronic wasting disease during 2024-25 hunting seasons.

Kentucky deer hunters can help themselves and state managers by completing emailed surveys on future deer hunting regulations in chronic wasting disease (CWD) surveillance zones.

The Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources has been sending out online surveys to those who purchased deer permits or sportsman or senior/disabled licenses that include deer permits during the 2023-24 license year.
