Eagle Field was the site of a key Third District matchup on Tuesday night, as the Graves County Eagles took on the Ballard Memorial Bombers for the first time this season. The Eagles entered Tuesday’s clash looking to bounce back following a Saturday loss to Scott City, Missouri, while the Bombers were also in the hunt for a rebound after their defeat to Massac County the night prior.
On the back of 6.1 shutout innings from Hayden Alexander, the Eagles picked up a 5-0 win to gain some leverage within the district, heading into another meeting between the two on Thursday.
