Why is Earth Day so important? The Earth is our home, our only home. By maintaining Earth’s health, it rewards us with a healthy and beautiful environment. It is a big job, but doable if we each do a little thing each day. By reducing, reusing, and recycling, you also save money.

Sign up for Paducah’s recycling twice monthly collection (270-444-8567). It is amazing the amount it reduces your regular trash.Save soft drink cans and plastic bottle caps for charity fundraisers.Add shredded mail (remove envelope’s plastic window) to grocery bags for packing boxes. I delight in shredding junk mail. Edit your closet seasonally and donate unneeded and “How long has it been since you wore that?†clothing to charities.
