TORIAN 1

Nathan Torian was terminated from his position as Paducah fire captain in a unanimous vote of the Paducah City Commission on Oct. 3.

PADUCAH — The International Association of Fire Fighters has confirmed its involvement in a local fight over workers’ rights.

The union is part of former Paducah Fire Captain Nathan Torian’s team — along with the law firm Mooney, Green, Saindon, Murphy & Welch — in a federal lawsuit filed against the city of Paducah and city commission members, City Manager Daron Jordan and Fire Chief Stephen Kyle. The suit accuses the city of retaliation, wrongful termination and a violation of his First Amendment rights.
