MILTON — Emergency crews responded to at least one tornado and other severe storms that swept through Kentucky and Indiana Thursday afternoon causing severe damage in Milton, Kentucky, and lesser damage in Carroll County and Jefferson and Switzerland counties in Indiana.
The tornado touched down near the Ohio River in Milton, and there were reports of damage from Madison to Vevay in Indiana and from Milton to Carroll County in Kentucky and power is out in an even wider area. The storm started with dark clouds, heavy rain, high winds and large hail that inflicted damage on a wide area before the sun popped out minutes later to shine light on all the destruction.
