The Paducah Police Department issued numerous missing-persons alerts for children and teenagers in the area throughout the past year. A school-based clinician said behavior changes and emotional distress often precede children running away.
Chief Deputy Ryan Willcutt said most of these cases are runaway incidents involving high school teens and are resolved within several hours.
