The senior center plans to reopen on May 18 at 1350 S. Sixth St., offering meals and limited activities while the facility is being finished.

The Paducah-McCracken County Senior Center announced May 8 as its final day providing services at 1400 HC Mathis Drive, citing ongoing facility issues as the reason for its early move to its new Sixth Street home.

According to a social media announcement from the center, the facility will be closed from May 11 to May 15 to allow staff to move kitchen and dining room items into the new facility and to complete inspections.
