Mercy Health — Lourdes Hospital is nearing completion of a new radiation oncology expansion at the hospital’s Paducah Cancer Center.

The new radiation oncology facility — which will host a ribbon cutting with tours on June 28 — will allow cancer patients at Mercy Health to receive radiation therapy with their care providers at the hospital, rather than having to be sent to another site. John Montville, the executive director of oncology at Mercy Health — Lourdes Hospital, said their Paducah Cancer Center is the busiest, largest medical oncology program in the region, and the expansion will make their care even more comprehensive. He previewed the new facility for The Sun.
