James Mills was sworn in Thursday morning as district judge in Division 2 of the 2nd Judicial District in Kentucky. Gov. Andy Beshear on Tuesday appointed Mills to serve as judge.

Mills is filling the McCracken County district judge seat left vacant when Judge Chris Hollowell died in October.
