McCracken County’s tourism economy exceeded that of the surrounding counties in 2024, pointing to strong tourism spending that supports local business owners, schools and infrastructure.

The Kentucky Department of Tourism released its annual economic impact report for 2024, indicating McCracken County generated $321.6 million in total visitor spending. The amount contributed more than 34% — the highest percentage — of all tourism spending in Kentucky’s Western Waterlands region, which is made up of 15 counties.
