An attorney discipline panel has recommended that former Paducah attorney Delbert Keith Pruitt, who now practices in Metropolis, be disbarred in Illinois for allegedly taking over $4,800 of a client's funds following her divorce.

In December, Pruitt, 57, was suspended by the Kentucky Supreme Court for 61 days, and ordered to repay a $2,500 fee that he allegedly accepted from a client in a felony criminal case in 2015 but then failed to represent. That action followed a recommendation by the Board of Governors of the Kentucky Bar Association.
