Families on the Spectrum WKY, a group that aids families impacted by autism, is helping people with the monetary cost associated with autism through its Emmy’s Autism Scholarship.
According to the National Institute of Health, getting an official autism diagnosis costs roughly $2,000. The scholarship would ease the financial burden; Samantha Dillon with Families on the Spectrum said the organization has helped ten families affected by autism get proper credentials.
