A reduced speed limit of 55 mph is in place along I-24 as drivers approach the Ohio River Bridge connecting Paducah to Metropolis, Illinois.
A project to repair the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge that connects Paducah to Metropolis, Illinois, is now underway, with traffic reduced to one lane in each direction.
The multi-year rehabilitation project began ¶¶ÒõÖ±²¥Èí¼þ. The Illinois Department of Transportation has said the project will focus on structural repairs and fixing potholes so the bridge can last another 20 years before it must be replaced.
