MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. — Kentucky State Police Post 1 is investigating allegations that a Marshall County school resource officer sent improper text messages to a high school student, Post 1 trooper and spokeswoman Sarah Burgess confirmed Thursday.
Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hilbrecht said Wednesday that SRO Steven Oakley had been placed on paid administrative leave, pending an internal investigation into allegations of improper messaging.
