MURPHYSBORO, Ill. — Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Mike Bost of Illinois declared victory over his challenger in the Republican Primary for Illinois 12th Congressional District, former state Sen. Darren Bailey. Wednesday, the race was officially called in Bost’s favor.
Bost arrived at a watch party at Brews Brothers Taproom in Murphysboro, Illinois, shortly after he declared victory and Bailey conceded. The room full of Bost’s family and friends started chanting “Mike! Mike! Mike!†when he walked in.
