HERRIN, Ill. — A Carterville man employed at a local elementary school has been arrested on multiple felony charges after the case was uncovered during a separate investigation involving school personnel.
Christopher C. Ballard, of Carterville, was taken into custody April 22 by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. He faces two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse tied to allegations involving a former student.
