After raising chickens as a middle schooler, Mannix Hamilton discovered a passion that now shapes his future — he wants to become a veterinarian to serve both animals and farmers in western Kentucky.

Hamilton, this week’s Murray State Teen of the Week, is a senior at Graves County High School who is very passionate about animals. He began raising animals in eighth grade, and that experience inspired him to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
