FRANKFORT, Ky. — Thursday, Gov. Andy Beshear announced a $5.7 million Team Kentucky investment in 15 public riverport projects, four of which are in the Local 6 region.
These projects aim to enhance industry and support future expansion of the state’s waterways economy. “Kentucky’s riverports move billions in freight each year,†said KYTC Secretary Jim Gray. “With this investment, we’re reinforcing our position as a central logistics hub for the nation.â€
