A former Fort Campbell soldier has been sentenced to life in federal prison after he was convicted of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor.

Prosecutors said the man — 40-year-old Larry Bryan Nash of Nokomis, Illinois, and formerly of Fort Campbell — knowingly sexually abused a girl who was older than 12 and younger than 16. Nash's sentence was announced Wednesday in a news release from U.S. Attorney Michael A. Bennett of the Western District of Kentucky and Special Agent in Charge John McCabe of the United States Army’s Criminal Investigation Division at Fort Campbell.
