The mayor of Dresden, Tennessee, and the community are hoping to receive funding to build six outdoor warning sirens across the northwest Tennessee city.

DRESDEN, Tenn. — With severe weather in the forecast, it’s important to have safety measures in place.

The National Weather Service Paducah office has said severe thunderstorms are possible through Wednesday night. In an update to its Area Forecast Discussion posted at 6:36 p.m. Tuesday, the NWS said storms were expected to begin Wednesday morning as a warm front lifts northward.
