A celebrated quilter in her own right, in 1986 during the second Paducah QuiltWeek she was awarded third place for her submission in the “other technique category,†a category that has since been retired.
The dome pavilion is up and ready to go for AQS QuiltWeek in Paducah.

Bonnie Browning has been the executive show director for the American Quilter’s Society for the past 30 years, and will be retiring after this year’s QuiltWeek. On Wednesday the American Quilter’s Society will host its 38th QuiltWeek in Paducah, and with more than 30,000 expected visitors to the city, crews are full steam ahead making final adjustments to the massive convention’s venues.
The Paducah-McCracken County Convention and Expo Center and the dome pavilion are the main venues for the event, each hosting vendors, quilts and classes.
