MURPHYSBORO, Ill. — While the Associated Press had not yet called the primaries for Illinois’ 12th Congressional District as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, incumbent Rep. Mike Bost had issued a statement claiming victory and thanking his supporters.

At press time ¶¶ÒõÖ±²¥Èí¼þ night, the Trump-endorsed Bost (R-Murphysboro) led Darren Bailey in the race for the Republican nomination for U.S. Representative in the 12th Congressional District of Illinois. With 81% of the votes counted as of 10:30 p.m., Bost had 53% of the vote over challenger Darren Bailey’s 47%.
