CARBONDALE, Ill. — Carbondale, Illinois, will fill the vital role of city manager, but will the move stretch another department in the city thin?
The city has appointed Carbondale Police Chief Stan Reno as the interim city manager. He’ll continue serving as police chief while he takes on that role. Previous City Manager Gary Williams stepped down after eight-and-a-half years in the position.
