Suzanne Alt is seen in McCracken County District Court during the first day of her trial. Her attorney, Jeremy Ian Smith, filed a notice of appeal Wednesday after a jury convicted her Tuesday of 105 counts of inhumane treatment of animals.

While McCracken County District Court Judge Todd Jones ordered Suzanne Alt to report to the McCracken County Jail after a jury found her guilty Tuesday of 105 counts of inhumane treatment of animals the day before, she remained a free woman Wednesday.

Her attorney, Jeremy Ian Smith, filed a notice of appeal, staying the proceedings.
