CARBONDALE, Ill. — More than 13,000 people witnessed a clear view of the 4 minutes and 9 seconds of the total solar eclipse at Saluki Stadium in Carbondale, Illinois, the crossroads of America, for what scientists refer to as a “twice in a lifetime†experience.
Carbondale was in the crossroads of totality for the 2017 total solar eclipse and ¶¶ÒõÖ±²¥Èí¼þ’s total solar eclipse. With almost twice as much time in totality and clear skies, ¶¶ÒõÖ±²¥Èí¼þ’s eclipse proved an even more spectacular phenomenon.
