We do not like to see our children get hurt. We do not like to see our children in pain. When our kids get sick, we would like to take their place. When they are suffering in any way, we hurt for them.
Think about what Paul says concerning the church. The church is the body of Christ. He is the head (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18). The one body (Eph. 4:4) is made up of many members (I Cor. 12:20). Christians (those baptized into the one body, I Cor. 12:13) make up this body.
