Dr. Bernard Miller is a Codefi 1ST50K competition winner. Codefi launched the 1ST50K program with Sprocket in Paducah in October. Miller and the other two winners have office space at Sprocket to work on their tech startup. Miller is working on a photoplethysmography prototype that measures cholesterol. “Our technique is unique due to its noninvasive nature and the methods employed to determine lipid concentration.â€

Creative thinkers and entrepreneurs assembled Tuesday to converse and share insight into the workings of a tech startup.
Monica Bilak, Sprocket founder, hosted Codefi’s 1ST50K winners as part of Sprocket’s Entrepreneur Roundtable with 1ST50K Winners event. Sprocket and Codefi, from Cape Cirardeau, Missouri, teamed up to launch the 1ST50K pitch competition designed to bring software-based businesses to Paducah.
