History, culture, and community were all celebrated at the fifth annual Juneteenth FreedomFest. The event was hosted by the Paducah-McCracken County NAACP branch and featured live performances, games, and activities to honor the holiday.

The Brick House will implement and maintain enhanced safety measures for this year's Aug. 8 celebration in response to a  following the 2025 event.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Jan. 20, and many organizations in Paducah and the surrounding region will host events marking the occasion with community service, as well as celebration.

The Paducah-McCracken County NAACP will host its 35th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration on Jan. 20, featuring keynote speaker Carol Moseley Braun, a former senator and former U.S. ambassador to New Zealand.
