After months of consideration, the Supreme Court of the United States has declined to take up a case against the city of Carbondale, Illinois, regarding a so-called "buffer zone" ordinance.
On February 24, the United States Supreme Court declined to review聽Coalition Life v. Carbondale, an appeal that challenged the constitutionality of "bubble zone" ordinances, which create a perimeter around an abortion facility and limit how near protesters can approach.
While it鈥檚 a short piece of legislation, Senate Bill 84 could have widespread impacts on how Kentucky courts review authority disputes between executive branch agencies and the legislature.
