Land Between the Lakes quota deer hunts remain popular public land pursuits for good reason.

With the stifling heat and humidity of recent days, crisp autumn mornings seem far removed, but would-be Land Between the Lakes deer hunters should be thinking ahead to those times during the scorching present.

The application time for LBL quota deer hunts is right now and growing rather short at that. Applications for these managed firearms hunts are accepted only during the month of July, and if you haven’t noticed, July is wearing thin. Hopeful hunters must apply online no later than Thursday, July 31, to have a chance to be drawn for permits in a computer lottery.
