Kentucky’s traditional spring turkey season today triggers a new surge of activity with the second weekend of hunting.

The opening weekend, last Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14, brought the biggest flurry from the commonwealth’s gobbler-getting community. But the second weekend is no slouch when it comes to putting hunters afield.
