Tennessee angler Lynn Bumgardner set a new Kentucky record for yellow perch with this1.58-pounder caught in southern Lake Barkley’s Linton Bay while fishing for crappie.

Lake Barkley has given up a new Kentucky state record fish, a 1.58-pound yellow perch.

Lynn Bumgardner of Oliver Springs, Tenn., caught the perch while trolling grubs in pursuit of crappie in Linton Bay on the eastern, Trigg County side of southern Lake Barkley earlier this month.
