In April, Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear signed House Bill 56 into law, which will allow some out of state social workers to practice in Kentucky without additional licensing requirements.
The law, commonly referred to as the “Social Workers Licensure Compact,†will allow licensed social workers who live in states that are part of the compact to practice in Kentucky and vice versa.
