Kentucky Speaker of the House David Osborne of Oldham County leads the session as the General Assembly considers the passage of House Bill 509 on March 12. The bill would amend Kentucky’s Open Records Act. It passed the House 61-31 and now moves to the Senate.

FRANKFORT — Tuesday, the Kentucky House of Representatives voted 61-31 in favor of House Bill 509, which would change Kentucky’s Open Records Act.

Discussions of the bill began around six weeks ago, seeing a final vote in the House State Government Committee before being voted on during the regular session.
