Marshall County Schools has selected Amanda Melton as the next principal of Calvert City Elementary School, the school system announced Thursday. She is set to take over the role on July 1.
Melton most recently worked with the Kentucky Department of Education as a state literacy coaching specialist, with the goal of supporting schools to strengthen instruction and improve student outcomes, according to the school system. She previously worked in Christian County as a teacher, curriculum specialist and assistant principal.
